Tawny Ruddy or Usual Somali

  • The Tawny coat is a ruddy brown (burnt sienna), ticked with various shades of darker brown or black; the extreme outer tip to be the darkest, with orange-brown undercoat.
  • The tail is tipped with black. 
  • The underside and inside of legs to be a tint that harmonises with the main colour. 
  • The nose leather is tile red. 
  • The paw pads are black or brown, with black between the toes, extending slightly beyond the paws.

Cinnamon or Sorrel Somali

  • The Cinnamon coat is a rich, warm, glowing red, ticked with chocolate brown, the extreme outer tip to be dark, with red undercoat.
  • Tail is tipped with chocolate brown.
  • The underside and inside of legs to be a tint that harmonises with the main colour.
  • The nose leather is rosy pink.
  • The paw pads are pink with chocolate brown between the toes, extending slightly beyond the paws.

Blue Somali

  • The Blue coat is a warm beige, ticked with various shades of slate blue, the extreme outer tip to be the darkest, with blush beige undercoat.
  • Tail tipped with slate blue.
  • The underside and inside of legs to be a tint that harmonises with the main colour.
  • The nose leather is old rose.
  • The paw pads are mauve with slate blue between the toes, extending slightly beyond the paws.

Fawn Somali

  • The Fawn coat is a warm rose-beige, ticked with light cocoa brown, the extreme outer tip to be darkest, with blush-beige undercoat.
  • Tail tipped with light cocoa brown.
  • The underside and inside of legs to be a tint that harmonises with the main colour.
  • The nose leather is salmon.
  • The paw pads are pink with light cocoa brown between the toes, extending slightly beyond the paws.
